The compact monophasé Type 2 surge protectors, DS240, are primarily used for protecting monophasé networks at the low voltage switchgear (TGBT) level. These devices provide common mode protection (between active conductors and Earth) or both common and differential mode protection (for version DS240xxx/G). The electrical design of the DS240 includes high-power varistors equipped with disconnectors and associated indicators, along with a specific spark gap. It features a fixed base for simple and quick maintenance in case of a fault (network disconnection).
